VentureScore ("we", "our", or "us") operates venturescore.app. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use VentureScore:

• Account data: Your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth) when you create an account.
• Usage data: The business ideas you submit for analysis, and the number of analyses and pivots you have used.
• Payment data: Billing information is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card details.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and usage logs for security and rate-limiting purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the VentureScore service
• To manage your account and subscription plan
• To process payments via Stripe
• To enforce our rate limits and prevent abuse
• To send you important account-related emails (no marketing spam)

3. Your Business Ideas

The business ideas you submit are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI API for analysis. We do not store your idea submissions long-term or use them to train AI models. Anthropic's own privacy policy governs their handling of API data.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the following third-party services that are necessary to operate VentureScore:

• Supabase — authentication and database (supabase.com)
• Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com)
• Anthropic — AI analysis engine (anthropic.com)
• Vercel — hosting and deployment (vercel.com)

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use minimal cookies required for authentication (session tokens). We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or tracking pixels.

6. Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, and JWT-based authentication. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

8. Children's Privacy

VentureScore is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
